It’s Wishlist Time!

Hey babes! Last year I began building my luxury collection on a budget and I had the best time getting familiar with different designer brands. I accumulated a number of awesome pieces, but my collection isn’t as well rounded as I’d like it to be yet. This year, my approach is more targeted with the help of my 2020 wishlist, which focuses on rounding things out with a healthy balance of classic pieces. I won’t be able to get everything on this list, but it will help me stay focused when I do have some extra cash to spend.

Louis Vuitton Capucines PM

When I started building my luxury collection in 2019, I fell in love with Louis Vuitton’s monogram and damier ebene prints. This year, I find myself more interested in understated bags, and I love how classic and minimal the Capucines PM bag is. I could 100% see myself wearing this bag for the rest of my life. It was first introduced in 2013 and currently retails for $5,100 brand new. Luckily for me, it’s resale value on the second-hand market can reach as low as $2,600, so I’m going to keep an eye out for a pre-loved one in good condition (hopefully during a sale so that I can get an even better price).

YSL+Sac+Du+Jour+Medium

YSL Sac De Jour

I can’t get my mind off of the YSL Sac De Jour. It’s another classic bag from 2013 that I think will stand the test of time. I love it’s shape and the absence of loud logos - just understated classy goodness. It comes in 4 different sizes - Nano, Baby, Small and Large. It retails for $2,980 brand new, but can be found for as low as $1,000 on the pre-loved market in great condition. I will definitely be purchasing it in a size small this year as it’s currently my number one priority.

Hermès Reversible Belt

I don’t think anything elevates an outfit more than a designer belt, and this reversible one by Hermès is the cream of the crop. It’s a classic that’s also versatile as you essentially get two belts in one. Since I already have a Gucci belt, this one is not the highest priority for me, but I kept it on here because you never know. It currently retails for $825 brand new.

Chanel Flap Bag

Chanel Flap

There’s nothing more classic or iconic than the Chanel Classic Handbag. The first iteration of this bag was created in the 1950s, but the interlocked CC was added by Karl Lagerfeld in the 1980s. This bag holds it’s value and appreciates over time. Brand new, they retail starting at around $5,200 and up with the mini’s starting at $3,500 and up. Needless to say, I will most definitely be purchasing my first Chanel flap bag on the pre-loved market. It may not be this year, but it will happen.

Gucci Disco Bag

Gucci Soho Disco

Every girl needs a reliable cross body bag and this classic that launched in 2014 is perfect for so many different occasions. I go back and forth between which color I should go for, but I’m learning more towards red the more that I think about it. It also comes in black and taupe brand new with other discontinued colors available on the pre-loved market. It currently retails for $1,190 brand new and as low as $795 on the pre-loved market.

Gucci+Sneakers

Gucci Bee Sneaker

I know that chunky sneakers are all the rage at the moment, but my Fila Disruptors are already filling that need, so I’m not ready to heavily invest in the trend just yet. These Gucci Bee Sneakers, on the other hard, are a pair that I can’t get off my mind. I love how clean the classic tennis shoe silhouette is and the stripes along with the bee add a fun and colorful element that isn’t overbearing. I could definitely see myself wearing this for years and years to come. It currently retails for $650.

Louis+Vuitton+Victorine+Wallet

Victorine Wallet

I know that I promised to lay off the monogram print, but the Victorine wallet is an absolute must have thanks to it’s durability, which I can attest to as a proud owner of the 6 key ring holder (which is also made of coated canvas). I don’t want to wear my current Chanel wallet everyday, so this is the perfect alternative. Functional, durable, gorgeous, and sleek. It doesn’t get any better than that. It currently retails for $570 brand new.
