The Feelings I Wear

On Saturday I walked in the Women's March on Washington and it was absolutely incredible.  I don't know about you, but I definitely didn't anticipate the astounding level of support that the march garnered.  Over the last couple of days I've seen the most amazing images and videos of protesters from around the globe - all seven continents!  The streets were filled with thought provoking art and street style - and for the first time in a long time, I felt hope for the future.  I don't know when equality for all will truly come, but if Saturday taught me one thing, it's that we're stronger together.

Today I'm thankful for my mom, my sister, my aunts, Michelle Obama, Issa Rae, Formation, A Seat At the Table, Simone Biles, Tracee Ellis Ross, Rihanna, Rihanna's women's march outfit, Paula Johnson, Chimamanda, Elaine Welteroth, Gabby Douglas, 2 Dope Queens, Shonda Rhimes, Oprah, Wellesley College, and every amazing woman that has inspired me in some way shape or form.  My favorite sign from the protest read "Intersectional Feminism or Bust".  Today's look is inspired by that sentiment (more details below).  I wish I could've worn these Vince booties to the march, but we can't all have it all like Rihanna.
