Nothing excites me more than the month of June. When I was younger, June meant that school was finally out! As an adult, it marks the start of summer Fridays, rooftop parties, and showing lots of skin! I take my summer glow very seriously, so today, I'm going to share the newest edition to my summer glow routine - Sol de Janeiro!
Love It, Flaunt It, You've Got It
It's no secret that Sol de Janeiro is one of the hottest beauty brands out right now. After their Brazilian Bum Bum cream took the beauty world by storm, everyone became familiar with the brand's flirtatious yellow and blue packaging. It's always hard to resist the latest craze, but I actually fell in love with the brand for a deeper reason - what it stands for. Sol de Janeiro views beauty as an attitude, a feeling that grows from inner confidence, and I couldn't agree more. Whenever we talk about beauty, I believe it's important to remember that it starts from within. You already have all that you need. Beauty products are simply icing on the cake!
Brazilian Bod Buff
My favorite product of the Sol de Janeiro bunch is the Brazilian Bod Buff. It's a double-duty exfoliating scrub and detoxifying body treatment mask. I love it because you can use it in different ways to polish and purify your skin for maximum radiance. It smells amazing and makes my skin feel like heaven! The best part? Incredible Ingredients! The formula pairs Brazilian quartz crystal, tropical volcanic pumice, rice grain, and amazonian river kaolin clay to exfoliate and extract impurities from your skin for restored balance and a beautiful glow.
How to Use It
I like to use my Brazilian Bod Buff as a scrub. When I'm in the shower, I apply it to my wet skin and massage it all over to remove impurities. You can do this on a daily basis, but I like to do it around 3-4 times a week. You can also target specific areas by using it as a body mask. Simply apply it to dry skin and let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes to work its magic. Once time's up, hop into the shower and use warm water to rinse it off by gently massaging the area. Both methods yield beautiful results.
The Bottom Line
I focused on the Brazilian Bod Buff today, because I believe exfoliation is the key to a great summer glow, but all of the Sol de Janeiro products are amazing!
